Who we are
Hackney Rubbish Removals provides rubbish and waste clearance services in Hackney, London. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at hello@hackneyrubbishremovals.com.
What we collect, and when
When you complete the quote form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the collection address, the delivery or disposal address where relevant, a date if you give one, and whatever you write in the notes field. We collect nothing else through the form, and we do not ask for payment details on this website.
We also collect ordinary analytics data about how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type and how you arrived — through Google Analytics. That data is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
Why we hold it
To quote for the work you have asked about, to carry it out if you go ahead, and to keep the records a waste carrier has to keep. Where you have asked us for a quote, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract; for the work itself it is performance of that contract; for analytics and site security it is our legitimate interest in a site that functions and is not abused.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is sent to our own customer records system so that the person quoting the job can see it. We use Google reCAPTCHA to keep automated spam off the form, and Google Analytics for the usage data described above — both are Google services and are subject to Google’s own terms. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to other firms for marketing.
Waste documentation
Waste transfer records may include the address the waste came from and the name of the person who handed it over, because that is what the law requires them to include. Those records are kept for the statutory period and are shown to a regulator on request. This is a legal obligation rather than something you can opt out of.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept while they are still commercially useful and then deleted. Records of completed work, including waste documentation, are kept for as long as tax and waste regulations require.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to how we are using it. Email hello@hackneyrubbishremovals.com and we will deal with it. Where a legal obligation means we have to keep something, we will tell you which record and why. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure usage, and reCAPTCHA sets cookies needed to tell a person from a script. Blocking them in your browser will not stop you using the site or sending an enquiry.
