Fly-tip clearance in Hackney
Dumped waste cleared from private land, forecourts, alleyways and estate bin stores before it attracts more.
Fly-tipping on private land is the landowner's problem, not the council's, and it compounds: one dumped mattress in an alleyway becomes six within a fortnight. Clearing it quickly is the only thing that reliably stops the pattern.
Where we clear it
- Forecourts, car parks and private hardstanding
- Alleyways, side returns and rear access lanes
- Estate bin stores and refuse chambers
- Empty properties and gardens between tenancies
- Commercial yards and unit frontages
Unknown waste means care
We do not know what is in a fly-tip until we are standing over it. Most of it is furniture, bags and building waste, but some of it is not — sharps, asbestos sheeting from an old garage roof, drums of unidentified liquid. Anything in that category is not something to shovel into a van. We stop, tell you what it looks like, and arrange the right specialist route rather than moving a problem.
Evidence first, if you want it
If you intend to report the tipping or pursue the person responsible, photograph it before we clear it, and tell us — we will note what we found and where. Once it is gone, the evidence is gone with it.
For landlords and managing agents
Repeat tipping at the same point usually has a cause: an unlocked bin store, a gap in a fence, a gate that stopped closing. Clearing it is us; closing the gap is worth doing at the same time, and we will say what we saw.
Documentation
Waste transfer notes kept and copied to you on request — which matters most on exactly this kind of job, where the waste was not yours to begin with.
Fly-tip clearance — the usual questions
Who is responsible for fly-tipping on my land?
The landowner or occupier, unfortunately — the council will deal with public land but not private. That is why this work exists.
Can you clear it today?
We will tell you the soonest slot when you call rather than promise one on a web page. Fly-tips are worth clearing quickly because they attract more.
What if there is asbestos or something hazardous?
We stop and tell you. Those need a specialist licensed route, and moving them in a general van would be both illegal and unsafe.
Should I photograph it first?
Yes, if you plan to report it. Once it is cleared the evidence is gone, and we will note what we found if that helps.
Do you clear estate bin stores?
Regularly, for managing agents and landlords. Where the same spot keeps filling we will tell you what we think is causing it.
House clearance
Whole houses and single rooms cleared — end-of-tenancy, probate, downsizing, or years of accumulated stuff in a back bedroom.
Flat & estate clearance
Upper-floor flats, walk-ups and estate blocks, carried down by hand where there is no lift and nowhere to park.
Bulky waste collection
Single large items or a handful of them — sofas, mattresses, wardrobes — collected when you do not want to wait for a council slot.
Garden waste clearance
Green waste, hedge cuttings, turf, soil, decking and the shed that finally gave up. Composted or recycled where it can be.
Tell us what needs clearing.
What it is, which floor it is on, and where a van can stand. That is enough for a proper quote — and the quote is what you pay, not a starting point.
